Fundraising Tips

Are you interested in fundraising for a cause? Are you doing it already? If so, below are some tips which you might find helpful in attracting either donations, or attention!

• Write a catchy title for your fundraiser: This could be funny, moving, or both – a good title brings a fundraising page together.

• Include an image (or two!) on your fundraiser page: A good image will help your fundraiser catch peoples’ eyes, and pique their interest.

• Write a compelling description: Describe what’s motivating or inspiring you to do this fundraiser. Also mention what the nonprofit you’re supporting does, and who it helps.

• Invite friends and family to view your page: The more people you invite to sponsor your fundraiser, the more donations will be made! Use social media and email to help attract attention from those close to you.

• Keep people informed: Use updates to keep people “in the know” on your efforts – before, during, and after your fundraiser starts. This will help make sure you’re getting good, sustained engagement from supporters.
